My services

I am a qualified freelance Polish–English interpreter and translator with nearly 20 years of experience in the UK. As a registrant of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI), I adhere at all times to their Code of Professional Conduct, including strict confidentiality, impartiality, and accuracy.

I specialise primarily in medical interpreting, including medico-legal, occupational health, and mental health settings, with particular expertise in talking therapies and psychological assessments.

I also provide interpreting services for HR and workplace matters, including employee welfare meetings, grievance and disciplinary proceedings.

In addition, I have extensive experience interpreting in family proceedings, as well as for solicitors, case managers, medical experts, and rehabilitation professionals involved in Personal Injury and medico-legal cases.

Based in London, I am available for face-to-face assignments throughout Greater London, as well as remotely via telephone and video conferencing across the UK and internationally.

About me

My adventure with languages started in primary school, when I learnt Russian and English. It came very easy to me and as my end-of-secondary education exams I took Polish, Russian and English! I was very lucky not to be required to take maths…

I started dreaming of becoming a translator in secondary school after my teacher talked about his friend – and interpreter – who was able to interpret the news simultaneously whilst it was read out on the radio. “What an incredible skill that is!”, I thought.

I went on to study Russian at the University of Warsaw and graduated with a distinction. But it wasn’t time to start my translation career. Not yet. It began three years after my arrival into the UK, and slowly, but surely it’s been gaining momentum ever since.

I am now a qualified and experienced translator and interpreter who holds a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, an up-to-date enhanced DBS Certificate and has her name included in the National Register of Public Service Interpreters.

I have lived in the UK for over 20 years now, so in order to ensure high quality services, apart form keeping in touch with my family and friends in Poland, I regularly read books and articles in my mother tongue, as well as listen to the radio and watch films, so that my Polish stays natural and up-to-date with its transformations.

I excel at projects which require accuracy, meticulous research skills and a translation that reads like the original text, particularly in the areas of Law, Health, Medicine and Psychology.

I am one those lucky professionals who love their job and can’t imagine their lives without it.

Jestem wykwalifikowaną tłumaczką języka angielskiego (magister filologii rosyjskiej UW, Diploma in Public Service Interpreting), z szesnastoletnim doświadczeniem zdobytym na terenie Wielkiej Brytanii.

Moje nazwisko znajduje się na liście tłumaczy sektora publicznego – National Register of Public Service Interpreters.

Oferuję zarówno tłumaczenia ustne (na miejscu, telefoniczne i wideo), jak i pisemne – zwykłe i poświadczone (w Polsce zwane popularnie tłumaczeniami przysięgłymi). Tłumaczenia poświadczone wyłącznie na język angielski.

Specjalizuję się w tłumaczeniu tekstów  z zakresu prawa, medycyny i medycyny sądowej.

Świadczę usługi m.in. dla sądów, policji, NHSu, szkół, opieki społecznej, lokalnych władz, prawników (w tym specjalizujących się w prawie rodzinnym oraz prowadzących sprawy o odszkodowania powypadkowe) i dla klientów indywidualnych.

Klienci prywatni angażują mnie m.in. do tłumaczenia podczas rozpraw w sądach ds. drobnych roszczeń (Small Claims Courts) oraz innych rozpraw, jeśli nie przysługuje im tłumacz zapewniony przez sąd, podczas mediacji rodzinnych lub z byłym partnerem/pratnerką, w przychodniach i szpitalach, a także podczas posiedzeń dyscyplinarnych w miejscu pracy oraz posiedzeń w sprawie skarg złożonych przez moich klientów.
